Highlights
- Eighty-three percent of the specimens have flagellin (fliC) gene, which out of them, 48 strains of P. aeruginosa (60.0%) have type A flagellin and 32 strains (40.0%) have type B.
- Twenty-four of the 41 strains of MBL producer (60.0%) have type A and 16 strains (40.0%) have type B and only one strains lacks the flagellin gene, so the flagella plays a significant role in the bacterial virulence.

- Carvacrol in thyme oil increases the penetration, socialization and destruction of bacterial cell membrane and inhibits the activity of the ATPase.
- The results of MIC determination in mycobacterium indicate that this essential oil at concentration of 1μg/ml inhibits bacterial activity and no growth occurs at subsequent concentrations. The minimum mortality was also determined for this bacterium. 
- Thyme essential oil has antibacterial activity against Mycobacterium tuberclusis.

- Enterotoxin-producing capacity was determined in 18 (20.0%) out of 90 homogenized meat samples using ELISA technique.
- SEs genes were identified in 18 (58.1%) of 31 meat isolates. We found sea (38.7%) and see (22.6%) genes with higher frequency than others.
- Detection of enterotoxin producing S. aureus in raw meat marketed in Zanjan, Iran shows a probable risk for public health.

- Chlorhexidine and green tea had a similar effect on bacterial colonies, and the use of these two solutions decreases the growth of bacterial colonies in the pharynx of both groups on day 4 and 8.
- Green tea and chlorhexidine had same effects on bacterial colonies, and the use of these two compounds simultaneously decreased the growth of pharyngeal bacterial colonies in both groups on days first and eighth.

Highlights
- In comparison with other extracts, aqueous extract of Punica granatum peel isn't very effective on S. mutans.
- The extract of Ricinus communis has strong anti-biofilm activity against Streptococcus mutans, when compared to other extracts Allium sativum extract show moderate activity on the biofilm formation and aqueous extract of Punica granatum peel isn’t very effective on S. mutans.

Highlights
- Farnesol in 300µM concentration can inhibits growth and proliferation of C. albicans yeast cells and also inhibits hyphal formation.
- Farnesol can affect the expression of virulent genes including pathogenic genes that are associated with hyphae morphogenesis such as SAP6 and HWP1. This action can reduce the pathogenicity and invasion of C. albicans.
